In Awe of God

In my devotion the other night, I was reading in Isaiah, and I came across something that has always spoken to me and given me chills.

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
          Even youths grow tired and weary,
          and young men stumble and fall;
          but those who hope in the Lord
           will renew their strength.
          They will soar on wings like eagles;
           they will run and not grow weary
           they will walk and not be faint

Isaiah 40:28-31
Um, can I hear a "WOW!!"? I don't know about you, but every time I read that passage-especially the part about the wings of eagles- I get goose-bumps.

Have you ever seen an eagle? Maybe in a movie, or at the zoo, or maybe even near your house. They are known to be one of the most majestic birds. They take off with great woosh of their wings, spreading them wide and beautifully. With soft, yet powerful motions they soar through the air with an almost mysterious and  yet amazing way.

If you've ever had one of those days where nothing seems to go right, and you can't find the light at the end of the tunnel, just remember the last part of this passage. The one who knows all, who loves you more than anything in the world, will lift you high, so majestically with His love, you will soar through the sky like an eagle.

And don't forget either what it is saying at the beginning as well.

So when you are having "one of those days" just read this to your self over and over- The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator of the ends of the earth"!!!

Today find is light and his love! It is sweeter than anything that anybody will give you :)

Christmas at the Aarons

Hey all!
I don't know about you, but I'm getting really excited about the Christmas season! Yesterday, we had Christmas over at my dad's side of the family. This year we did something a little different. Instead of the usual exchanging of gifts, for everyone, two families were picked who needed help this Christmas.

Everyone bought presents for the parents and the kids and wrapped, stuffed and made ready the gifts we had for them.

Later in the evening, one of the families came by (along with  a friend dressed up as Santa to be there for the little girl) and we ate with them and gave them their gifts!
I am so thankful that I got to be apart of blessing someone the Christmas season!

Mommy and little Aubrey got to see Santa!
